Athletics

Eligibility 

• Students must be enrolled in at least 5 courses 

• Students must have passed at least 5 courses the previous semester 

• Exception: All incoming 9th grade students are eligible their first semester of high school.

Participation at Districted School 

• Students and parents/guardians are responsible for communicating their desire for participation in a GHSA event at their Districted School to AAI’s Athletic Director. Follow Steps outlined in here Avenger Athletics - Steps for Participation.  

GHSA Sanctioned Events at Alliance 

• ESports 

• Literary 

* Students who participate in GHSA Literary and/or GHSA E-Sports at AAI will not be eligible to participate in any other GHSA sports and events at their districted school. Additionally, students who participate in sports at their districted school may not participate in GHSA Literary and/or GHSA E-Sports at AAI. *

Transportation 

• Students and parents/guardians will need to provide their own transportation if it is needed outside of the existing bus pickup/drop-off times at their districted school. 

If a game or competition requires an early checkout, please follow the procedures below. 

• Parent/Guardian should email AAI-Attendance@forsyth.k12.ga.us prior to 9:00am the morning of the competition.  

• Check out should occur approximately one hour prior to scheduled departure from districted school. 

• No checkouts after 2:30 pm. 

• The email should include:

  • Student ID 

  • Student Name 

  • Date of Checkout 

  • Time of Checkout 

  • Sport  

  • Districted School 

  • Parent/Guardian Phone Number 

  • Season Schedule to Verify Competition 

• Students will be provided with a checkout note at some point throughout the school day. 

• Students should bring the note to the front office at the time of checkout and place the note in the basket on the main counter.  

• Students’ attendance will be updated once the checkout notes are processed.
